Who Are You Without the Addiction? E9
Addiction doesn’t just take substances away when you get sober it strips away an identity. For a long time, addiction shaped how you moved, how you coped, how you related to people, and how you understood yourself. When that’s gone, what’s left can feel unfamiliar, empty, or undefined.
In this episode, I talk about the identity gap that shows up in recovery, the confusion of not knowing who you are without the addiction, and why that loss of identity can feel more destabilizing than the addiction itself. This isn’t about cravings or relapse it’s about rebuilding a sense of self after survival mode ends.
If you’ve ever felt lost, blank, or unsure of who you are now that you’re sober, this episode is for you.
You don’t need to win today.
You just can’t quit today.
Keep fighting.
